Jerry Knutson began worshiping with Quakers in the mid 1980s. In 2002--03, he worked on spiritual discernment as a resident student at Pendle Hill. In 2014, he received a master of divinity degree from Earlham School of Religion with an emphasis on Christian Spirituality. From 2005 to 2014, his work on spiritual discernment was under the care of Pittsburgh Friends Meeting. His ongoing ministry in spirituality, discernment, Quakerism, and prisoner visitation and support has been under the care of Orlando Friends Meeting since 2015. While writing this pamphlet, Jerry was working on a certificate in Spiritual Formation from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He has dual memberships in Orlando Friends Meeting in Florida and Monongalia Friends Meeting in Morgantown, West Virginia, spending six months per year in each area.
